Milwaukee s distinguished residents have included Victor Louis Berger, who was America s first Socialist congressman, and Golda Meir, who became prime minister of Israel. Today Sen. Herb Kohl, owner of the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team, is proud of his city ties.
