The database format enables the engineer to extract the desired data easily and accurately from plots or formulae. The Database contains several hundred entries covering all main fracture mechanics standard specimens, including Two dimensional, Three dimensional, Plates and Shells configurations. The configurations are selected by the user through a simple menu system. The information provided for each problem is presented in four main windows. The first window includes the description of the problem, source of the solution, additional references, and estimated accuracy of the solution. The second window includes the illustration of the geometry and formulae. The third window includes the stress intensity factors plot. The three different modes will be plotted by simply pressing the relevant icon. The final window is the calculator. The calculator can be used to obtain the numerical value of the stress intensity factors presented in the plot. It will be an invaluable tool for engineers and researchers working in the field of fracture mechanics. Requires Windows 3.x, Windows 95 or Windows NT.
