Book Description:
This is a biography of Johnny Herbert with full career details which includes winning the 1979 British Karting Championship, the 1985 Brands Hatch Formula Ford Festival, and the 1987 British Formula 3 Championship. In 1995 he won two Grand Prix and finished fourth in the Drivers' Championship. Herbert's career has been full of up and downs. In 1988 he was unable to walk following a serious accident at Brands Hatch but just a year later he was finishing fourth in his Formula One debut for Benetton. In 1991 he contested seven Grand Prix for Lotus as well as completing a full season of Japanese Formula 3000 and winning the Le Mans 24 hour race. In 1994 he became the first driver to race different Formula One cars in three consecutive events, for Lotus, Ligier and Benetton. 1996 sees Herbert partnering Heinz Harald Frentzen at the Swiss Sauber Ford team.
