Book Description: In this digital and k economy era, managing and fostering better partnerships among member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has never been more urgent than now. With the present vast disparate economies among the OIC member states, it is time to rethink the strategy and start cooperation in earnest to lift the Muslim ummah out of the current quagmire. This book addresses the multiple challenges confronting Muslim societies arising from globalization, such as bridging the digital divide, nurturing smart partnerships between public and private sectors, exploring the dynamics of Islamic financial instruments and their global potential, harnessing media and communications technology, managing risks and diversity as well as promoting economic integration for the benefit of Muslims everywhere. The OIC member states, occupying some one sixth of the world's land area, having one fifth of the world's population and controlling two thirds of the world's fossil fuel reserves, however have only contributed 6 percent of world trade. Such a big exciting market holds considerable potential for economic activities and should be positively exploited.
