Book Description:
This memoir represents the proceedings of the Pangea Conference, an international symposium held in Calgary in August of 1993. The sixty four papers in the Memoir (which encompasses nearly 1,000 pages) have been divided into seven sections: Global, Regional Paleogeography and Tectonics, Paleoclimates, Resources, Sedimentation, Boundaries and Biostratigraphy. These sections reflect the themes of the working groups of Project Pangea. The papers are a good representation of the main topics of the conference and they illustrate the myriad of geographic, climactic and tectonic changes which characterized Pangea's complex evolution.
