Mrs. Frances nee Fuller Victor (1826 1902) was an American author and historian. She travelled extensively and became one of the West Coast's finest historians. After the death of her husband, she worked at Hubert Howe Bancroft's publishing house. Her works include: Poems of Sentiment and Imagination (with M. V. Victor) (1851), Alicia Newcome: A Story of the Upper Missouri (1862), The River of the West (with Joseph L. Meek) (1870) and The New Penelope and Other Stories and Poems (1877).
