Book Description:
He watched them fly away a mother and her child blown out of this world by a terrorist bomb. Francis Raleigh is a freelance journalist, who, in his youth, was present in Bologna on 2 August 1980, when over 80 people were killed in a terrorist bomb attack. He saw the terrible atrocities up close. And now he wants to interview the family of the victims and the perpetrators how did the terrible event change their lives? But it is his life that is changed. From a regular investigative interview, to a deadly manhunt. But is Raleigh a real journalist? If so, why does he seem to have all the necessary skills to work in the most dangerous conditions? Is he a trained agent working for a secret organisation from the other side? Is it possible that just one journalist can fight successfully against all the power and money behind the secret organisations and international media to reveal what is really going on? For his opponents, he remains a mystery. Can they find him before he exposes them and changes the face of European power? They are so desperate to make sure that the truth is not revealed, that they are prepared to use all their means and risk everything to shut him up. So they close in and either they succeed in silencing him, or they succeed in changing the map of the European media landscape. One way or the other they will succeed. And how Raleigh never intended to write a book about the interviews he took from the victims families and one of the perpetrators. It was supposed to be a newspaper article for the twenty fifth memorial of the Bologna bombing. But events were so intense and extreme that he did end up writing the book about his visit to Bologna: Bologna Revisited. This is a story based on actual facts. And although the characters in the book are fictional, one can recognise the behaviour and patterns of present day life and politics. It is also a beautiful example of how fear realises itself, just by being felt. Fear as a self fulfilling prophecy.
